{"id":11275,"date":"2020-03-31T16:07:51","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-11-temporary-removals\/62070-9-4-emergency-removal-procedures-responsibilities-medical-staff-emergencies-after-normal-hours-holidays-weekends\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:07:51","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:07:51","slug":"62070-9-4-emergency-removal-procedures-responsibilities-medical-staff-emergencies-after-normal-hours-holidays-weekends","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-6-adult-classification\/article-11-temporary-removals\/62070-9-4-emergency-removal-procedures-responsibilities-medical-staff-emergencies-after-normal-hours-holidays-weekends\/","title":{"rendered":"62070.9.4 Emergency Removal Procedures\/Responsibilities Medical Staff (Emergencies After Normal Hours, Holidays\/Weekends)"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>When medical emergencies occur during other than normal work hours requiring an inmate(s) removal to a community medical facility, the senior medical staff person on duty shall:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Contact the assigned medical officer-of-the-day (MOD) and describe the medical circumstances.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Receive emergency medical\/treatment instructions from the MOD.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Obtain verbal approval from the MOD to remove the inmate(s) to an appropriate community medical facility based on circumstances of the injury\/illness.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Notify the watch commander and report all details and instructions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Watch Commander\/AOD<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The institution\/facility watch commander shall be responsible to coordinate and effect emergency medical removals during non business hours.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The watch commander shall assume the responsibilities outlined for the AW in DOM 62070.9.2 for medical removals under these described conditions.
