Receives and maintains all new discharge records from incarcerated persons once they have been discharged from CDCR jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Existing hard copy files and microfiche are maintained for 30 years and then the records are transferred to State Archives.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The unit processes subpoenas or requests for documents from discharged persons, CDCR Staff, social services, as well as state and national law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Processes requests for proof of prior convictions for incarcerated persons discharged from the department, pursuant to PC 969b. Processes law enforcement agency and prosecutor requests for information or documents regarding discharged cases.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The unit audits discharged cases and facilitates the review of discharge files.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The ID Unit:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Provides the facility location of persons incarcerated within CDCR, and the release date for persons who have paroled or discharged from CDCR jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The ID unit completes this by researching a person\u2019s CDCR identification number to get locations in which they have been incarcerated or locations released from, including parole or discharge information.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The ID unit is responsible for providing the information researched to law enforcement or prosecuting agencies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The LPU:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Functions as a liaison between the department and related city, county, and state agencies on matters concerning the application of sentence and parole laws.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Reviews submissions from Case Records staff regarding illegal sentencing and discrepancies for referral back to the court.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Works towards a resolution, including follow-up communication on status with the court.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Communicates resolution information to the submitting Case Records staff.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Training Team Unit:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Assesses, plans, and develops a comprehensive training program.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>This is achieved by monitoring and providing specialized training to the Correctional Case Records Administrators, Managers, Supervisors, and Analysts throughout the CDCR to ensure staff are equipped with the expertise and knowledge to effectively develop and maintain accurate incarcerated persons\u2019 records.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Pre-Board Audit Unit:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Completes audits remotely for incarcerated persons housed at all institutions, prior to hearings conducted by the Board of Parole Hearings, including parole suitability, youthful offender, elderly parole and expanded medical parole hearings.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The SACCO Unit:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Completes the Case Records functions for community-based programs such as Alternate Custody Program, Female Community Reentry Program, Male Community Reentry Program, Community Participant Mother Program, Medical Reprieve Program, Medically Vulnerable Release Program, Expanded Medical Parole, Western Interstate Corrections Compact, and Witness Security.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Functions include recording commitments and tracking incarcerated persons serving terms in other jurisdictions and acting as a liaison between state and federal agencies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t","protected":false},"parent":11430,"template":"","class_list":["post-11442","dom","type-dom","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
