Written legal authority is provided with the detainer, e.g. arrest warrant, or court order, and specifies the basis for the detainer.<br><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Detainers are issued by the department to place a hold on an incarcerated person released to another agency prior to their release date.
