The incarcerated person\u2019s custody location shall be determined immediately.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All detainers shall be promptly hand-carried to the appropriate staff assigned by the CCRM at a classification not less than a CCRA.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All information received either at the time of an incarcerated person\u2019s arrival or prior to the incarcerated person\u2019s arrival, which indicates the subject may be involved in other crimes where a detainer may exist, shall be given to the staff assigned by the CCRM at a classification not less than a CCRA (except traffic violations).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Letters of inquiry shall be initiated utilizing a departmentally approved method on matters meeting the criteria for a detainer inquiry as follows:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Felony arrests, without disposition, that occurred within two years of the date the incarcerated person was received by the department.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Incarcerated person comments about recent criminal acts.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>References to recent criminal activity in file material.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Misdemeanor offenses, without disposition, that occurred within two years of the date the incarcerated person was last received by the department, if the incarcerated person is within three months of release at the time of reception.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Documentation indicating the incarcerated person may be wanted by ICE.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the reception centers, actual detainers included with the &#8220;prison packet&#8221; or arriving before the counselor has begun processing the case, shall be reviewed by the appropriate staff assigned by the CCRM at a classification not less than a CCRA.
