{"id":11647,"date":"2020-03-31T16:08:17","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-7-adult-case-records-information\/article-9-wanted-persons-system\/72070-5-4-1-presumptive-death-procedures\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:08:17","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:08:17","slug":"72070-5-4-1-presumptive-death-procedures","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-7-adult-case-records-information\/article-9-wanted-persons-system\/72070-5-4-1-presumptive-death-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"72070.5.4.1 Presumptive Death Procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The CCRM shall initiate the presumptive death procedure:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Obtain a current FBI SSCH.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Complete a CDC Form 644, Certificate of Presumptive Death.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Forward the original and one copy to the Chief, Correctional Case Records Services, for approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The original certificate shall be returned to the facility for permanent retention in the inmate&#8217;s C-File. The copy shall be forwarded to State DOJ, CI&amp;I. Upon receipt of the signed certificate, the CCRM shall:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>List the &#8220;presumptive death&#8221; on the daily report of arrivals and departures.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Post the action to the CDC Form 112, Chronological History.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>File the original certificate in the inmate&#8217;s C-File.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Send the C-File to the designated region records office for microfiching.
