{"id":29612,"date":"2022-01-06T23:35:35","date_gmt":"2022-01-06T23:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/?post_type=dom&#038;p=29612"},"modified":"2022-01-06T23:35:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T23:35:37","slug":"47040-3-responsibility-and-roles-for-audio-video-surveillance-systems","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-4-information-technology\/article-31-unassigned\/47040-3-responsibility-and-roles-for-audio-video-surveillance-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"47040.3 Responsibility and Roles for Audio&#8209;Video Surveillance Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Enterprise Information Services (EIS)<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>For implementations of AVSS, Enterprise Information Services (EIS) is responsible for managing the procurement, architecture, data communication network, implementation, access control, ongoing hardware and software support contracts and licensing.\u00a0 All proposed AVSS shall be evaluated and approved by EIS to ensure that all hardware, software, and communication platforms comply with CDCR standards and guidelines. AVSS shall not be procured or installed without the knowledge and approval of EIS. AVSS or installations by the Office of Internal<br>Affairs (OIA) for investigative purposes are exempt from this notification requirement, except for those that utilize the CDCR network.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>For repair or replacement of video or audio equipment that was implemented prior to the\u00a0 AVSS, EIS will evaluate each request to ensure purchases align with the new statewide standard for equipment and service where possible and feasible.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Institution Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Warden shall designate a local AVSS Coordinator responsible for maintaining a Department Operations Manual (DOM) Supplement and instructing staff on use of the system.
