{"id":29855,"date":"2022-01-11T16:04:27","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T16:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/?post_type=dom&#038;p=29855"},"modified":"2022-01-11T16:04:29","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T16:04:29","slug":"31060-16-5-no-longer-interested-notifications-nli-cdcr-form-1797","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-6-appointments\/31060-16-5-no-longer-interested-notifications-nli-cdcr-form-1797\/","title":{"rendered":"31060.16.5 No Longer Interested Notifications (NLI) CDCR Form 1797"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>CDCR Form 1797, No Longer Interested Notification shall be submitted to the OPOS Live Scan Unit by the hiring authority for the following:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Employees who are terminated, deceased, separated, or retired from the department.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Contracted workers, volunteers, vendors, or other service providers whose services are no longer required by the department.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Applicants who were fingerprinted but not hired by the department.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>When an employee, contractor, or volunteer separates from service, the hiring authority shall submit one of the following forms to the OPOS Live Scan Unit:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>CDCR Form 1797.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Subsequent Arrest Notification stamped \u201cNo Longer Interested.\u201d<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DOJ\/FBI RAP sheet stamped \u201cNo Longer Interested\u201d (For OPOS Background Investigations Unit).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>If a Peace Officer\/Non-Peace Officer employee transfers within the department, a CDCR Form 1797 is not required.\u00a0 When an employee separates from the department a CDCR Form 1797 is required.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Pursuant to the California Penal Code section 11105.2, CDCR is required to notify the DOJ when it no longer has a legitimate interest in this subject, (i.e., the applicant is no longer interested, or was never employed;
