{"id":30617,"date":"2022-08-03T14:49:12","date_gmt":"2022-08-03T14:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/?post_type=dom&#038;p=30617"},"modified":"2024-04-30T20:55:27","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T20:55:27","slug":"33060-18-agreement-for-use-of-employee-owned-equipment","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-25-telework-program\/33060-18-agreement-for-use-of-employee-owned-equipment\/","title":{"rendered":"33060.18 Agreement for Use of Employee&#8209;Owned Equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Employees shall understand that using their personally-owned equipment subjects their hard drive, software, and any other type of electronic storage media to the possibility of subpoena or lack of privacy through legal action taken against, or by, the state in accordance with the Electronic Communication Privacy Act of 1986.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Telework employees may use their personally-owned computing equipment for telework under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The employee\u2019s personally-owned computing equipment and software comply with the SIMM 5360-A.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The employee\u2019s computer resources and software ability meet IT standards and allow for required productivity and security in accordance with information security policies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The HA, or designee, approves a request for remote access as required by DOM 33060.9 Telework Package and in accordance with authorized procedures.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The HA, or designee, after consulting with CDCR\/CCHCS IT, provides written authorization for the employee to use their personally-owned computing equipment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon approval of an employee\u2019s request to use personally-owned equipment, the employee agrees:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The maintenance and repairs of the personally-owned equipment remain the responsibility of the employee.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The HA, or designee, does not assume any liability including, but not limited to loss, theft, or damage of personally-owned computing equipment as a result of telework-related activity.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t","protected":false},"parent":30575,"template":"","class_list":["post-30617","dom","type-dom","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
