{"id":30621,"date":"2022-08-03T14:54:27","date_gmt":"2022-08-03T14:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/?post_type=dom&#038;p=30621"},"modified":"2024-04-30T20:56:52","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T20:56:52","slug":"33060-20-denial-modification-or-termination-of-a-telework-agreement","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-25-telework-program\/33060-20-denial-modification-or-termination-of-a-telework-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"33060.20 Denial, Modification or Termination of a Telework Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The employee may request to terminate the Telework Agreement at any time, for any reason and when feasible, provide their manager or supervisor written notice at least 30 calendar days in advance of the requested termination date.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The manager or supervisor may deny or delay the termination request for up to\u00a014\u00a0business days or until designated office space can be secured.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon approval of an employee\u2019s request to terminate telework, the employee shall start working at their office the next business day following the effective date of the termination.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the event the denial, modification, or termination of a Telework Agreement is deemed necessary by the department, the HA or designee shall:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Endeavor to provide the employee at least 30 calendar days\u2019 notice, but no less than\u00a015 calendar days\u2019 notice to employees when permanently terminating or permanently modifying a Telework Agreement. This advance notice is not required due to unforeseen operational need or by mutual agreement between the employee and management.
