{"id":31899,"date":"2024-05-10T02:28:29","date_gmt":"2024-05-10T02:28:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/?post_type=dom&#038;p=31899"},"modified":"2024-05-17T00:29:01","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T00:29:01","slug":"33070-9-2-centralized-screening-team-review-and-screening-decision33070-9-2","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-26-staff-misconduct-allegations-involving-an-inmate-or-parolee\/33070-9-2-centralized-screening-team-review-and-screening-decision33070-9-2\/","title":{"rendered":"33070.9.2 Centralized Screening Team Review and Screening Decision"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>When a document is received by CST, staff shall review each document, identify all issues, and determine whether the document contains:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A routine issue; or<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Allegation(s) of staff misconduct toward an inmate or parolee; or<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Allegation(s) of staff misconduct not toward an inmate or parolee.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>CST staff shall also review each document to determine if it contains information constituting an imminent risk to personal safety, or institutional security, or involves sexual abuse or acts of sexual misconduct as defined by PREA and the California Sexual Abuse in Detention Elimination Act, not previously identified by departmental staff who referred the allegation. In those instances, CST shall immediately notify the Hiring Authority of the affected institution or program for appropriate action.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>CST shall notify the Hiring Authority of the screening decision.
