LPR is different from subscription-based, Automated LPR (ALPR), which accesses data from external sources. ALPR policies are detailed in DOM Chapter 5, Article 32.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Purpose<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>This policy provides guidance regarding the collection, access, use, sharing, storage, and retention of LPR information.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>CDCR manages LPR information to further its mission of ensuring the public safety of California residents by assisting CDCR with enforcement of Federal and California laws.
