The TART shall consist of staff responsible for assessing the validity of, and establishing counter measures to, threats made against staff members. The affected Hiring Authority or designee shall determine whether to assemble a TART. The TART shall be comprised at minimum the following:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Hiring Authority\/Chairperson or designee<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Manager or Department Head of affected area<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Supervisor of affected area<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Supervisor of threatened employee<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Other representatives designated by the Hiring Authority<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Additional committee members may be selected by the Chairperson\u2019s recommendation if the case factors support the need for additional members.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Hiring Authority or designee shall bring all relative documentation to the TART meeting to present the case for review. The TART shall review all data related to the threat, including the incarcerated person\u2019s or supervised person\u2019s departmental records. All submitted documentation, memorandums, and\/or notes from the incarcerated person, supervised person or other involved parties and any other pertinent information related to the suspect\u2019s propensity for violence or ability to commit violence shall also be reviewed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The TART may delegate assignments, ensure concerns are adequately addressed, and convey recommendations to the Hiring Authority for review and approval. The team shall be responsible for the following: <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Program review.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Removal of staff, if appropriate.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Assignment of specific tasks, including further investigation, interviews, and referral to the Office of Correctional Safety to ensure the threat is adequately assessed and addressed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Results and recommendations made by the TART shall be noted in the meeting minutes and immediately forwarded to the Hiring Authority for review.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In a case where the investigation is completed by an outside law enforcement agency, the Hiring Authority or designee shall review the agency report and evaluate if additional investigation or mitigation efforts are warranted.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Hiring Authority or designee shall notify the employee of the outcome of the investigation as allowed by law once the investigation has been concluded, and notify the employee of any subsequent information pertinent to the threat.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All documents gathered during the investigation shall be forwarded to the Hiring Authority or designee, who shall be responsible for maintaining all Threat Assessment records and appropriate tracking log(s).<br><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t","protected":false},"parent":7146,"template":"","class_list":["post-7151","dom","type-dom","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
