No changes to department regulations will be allowed without the consent of the Secretary or members of the Secretary\u2019s staff who have been delegated rulemaking authority by the Secretary to establish or modify regulations.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The approval of the Assistant Secretary OLA, or their delegate is required for any regulation, policy, or procedural change based upon a court decision. Consultation with the department\u2019s OLA, appropriate division heads, and the Secretary is required before any regulatory, operational, or policy changes are made in response to the instructions or advice of:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The AG&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A DA&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Any other attorney representing the Department or its employees.<br>Note: Further information is contained in DOM 12010, Regulation and Policy Directives.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The litigation coordinator shall notify the AG\u2019s Office and OLA if a specific case involves broad policy implications for the department.
