{"id":7748,"date":"2020-03-31T09:23:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-2-fiscal-management\/article-11-travel\/22020-15-assignment-of-a-state-vehicle\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T09:23:55","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:23:55","slug":"22020-15-assignment-of-a-state-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-2-fiscal-management\/article-11-travel\/22020-15-assignment-of-a-state-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"22020.15 Assignment of a State Vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DGS pool vehicles may be obtained from any local state garage or airport pool for a maximum of two weeks per assignment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>State vehicles may be assigned on a long-term basis when it is determined that a short-term rental may hinder the performance of an employee&#8217;s official duties and those duties will exceed a two-week period.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The request for both undercover and exempt vehicles shall consist of a FAD Form 54, Monthly Assignment or Release of a State Vehicle, or a memorandum prepared in accordance with SAM 4182.5.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon approval and availability of the vehicle from the DGS, the employee or their supervisor will be notified by the local garage as to the specifics regarding how the vehicle may be picked up.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A DGS charge card will have to be presented at that time so that charges for the vehicle are invoiced to the proper billing code number.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Department is charged for the rental or lease of state vehicles that are owned by the DGS.
