{"id":8408,"date":"2020-03-31T09:24:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-13-salary-and-compensation\/31130-4-2-departmental-plan\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T09:24:30","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:30","slug":"31130-4-2-departmental-plan","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-13-salary-and-compensation\/31130-4-2-departmental-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"31130.4.2 Departmental Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Pursuant to GC 7290-7299.8 et seq., the Office of Personnel Services (OPS) evaluates survey results and submits an Implementation Plan to the SPB no later than October 1 of each odd numbered year which includes the following:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The name, position, and contact information of the employee designated by the Department to be responsible for overseeing implementation of the plan.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of the Department&#8217;s procedures for identifying written materials that needs to be translated.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of the Department&#8217;s procedures for identifying language needs at local offices and assigning qualified bilingual staff.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of how the Department recruits qualified bilingual staff.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of any training the Department provides to its staff on the provision of services to non- or limited-English-speaking individuals.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A detailed description of how the Department plans to address any deficiencies in meeting the requirements of the Act including, but not limited to, the failure to translate written materials or employ sufficient numbers of qualified bilingual employees in public contact positions at local offices, the proposed action to be taken to address the deficiencies, and the proposed dates by when the deficiencies can be remedied.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of the Department&#8217;s procedures for accepting and resolving complaints of an alleged violation of the Act.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A description of how the Department complies with any federal or other State laws that require the provision of linguistically accessible services to the public.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Any other relevant information requested by the SPB.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t","protected":false},"parent":8402,"template":"","class_list":["post-8408","dom","type-dom","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
