{"id":8627,"date":"2020-03-31T09:24:38","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-20-personnel-policies\/33010-5-employees-right-to-organize\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T09:24:38","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:38","slug":"33010-5-employees-right-to-organize","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-20-personnel-policies\/33010-5-employees-right-to-organize\/","title":{"rendered":"33010.5 Employees Right to Organize"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The State recognizes the right of State employees to join and participate in organizations of their own choosing and be represented by such organizations in their employment relations with the State.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In order to guarantee this right, the management team shall not:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Impose, threaten to impose, cause, or allow any type of reprisals on employees because of their exercise of rights guaranteed them by SEERA, departmental policy, MOU, or any other applicable law or rule.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Conduct any type of business relating to wages, hours, or working conditions of unit employees with any organization except the exclusive representative.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Participate in handling grievances on behalf of employees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Participate in meet-and-confer sessions on behalf of rank and file employees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Influence, cause to be influenced, interfere with, or in any way condone the influence of internal affairs of a rank and file employee representative organization.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Influence, cause to influence, interfere with, or in any way allow the influencing of the unit election process.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Contribute to any organization financial or any other type of support that is used for representation of rank-and-file employees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Rank and file employees shall not:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Participate in handling grievances on behalf of supervisory employees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Participate in meet-and-confer sessions on behalf of supervisory employees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t","protected":false},"parent":8621,"template":"","class_list":["post-8627","dom","type-dom","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
