{"id":8631,"date":"2020-03-31T09:24:39","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-20-personnel-policies\/33010-6-access-to-work-locations\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T09:24:39","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T16:24:39","slug":"33010-6-access-to-work-locations","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-3-personnel-training-and-employee-relations\/article-20-personnel-policies\/33010-6-access-to-work-locations\/","title":{"rendered":"33010.6 Access to Work Locations"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Reasonable access to employee work locations during working hours shall be granted:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>To employee organization officers and representatives on employment relations matters.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Where specific problems exist which necessitate the officer\/representative seeing the work location to understand the situation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Access to work locations shall not include visits for the purpose of solicitation of membership or routine contact.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The restrictions or limitations shall be for legitimate State purposes, such as safety, security, potential work disruption, undue State costs, etc.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>No restrictions or limitations shall be applied, or not applied, on the basis of any antipathy or sympathy for or against employee organizations in general or particular.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Approval<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Representatives shall obtain the approval of the appropriate official or their designee before entering an employee work location. Requests shall be made through the employee relations office. The appropriate officials are:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>An institution \u2013 Warden or Superintendent.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DAPO Regional Headquarters &#8211; Regional Parole Administrator.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DAPO Headquarters \u2013 Deputy Director, Division of Adult Parole Operations.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Headquarters &#8211; Assistant Secretary, Office of Labor Relations.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DAPO Parole Unit &#8211; Unit Supervisor.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>DAPO Parole Outpatient Clinic &#8211;
