Protective vest wear types include ballistic vests, combination vests, stab resistant vests, and plate carriers with ballistic plates. The individual level and type of protection offered<br>by these protective vests is dependent upon the individual vest characteristics.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>For CDCR peace officer employees, the ability to wear a protective vest is an essential function of the job regardless of the regular wear expectations of their individual post or duty assignment.
