{"id":9292,"date":"2020-03-31T16:06:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-4-information-technology\/article-45-information-security\/49020-7-3-information-security-awareness\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:06:12","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:12","slug":"49020-7-3-information-security-awareness","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-4-information-technology\/article-45-information-security\/49020-7-3-information-security-awareness\/","title":{"rendered":"49020.7.3 Information Security Awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is the responsibility of CDCR management at all levels to ensure that personnel are aware of their responsibilities:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All employees are accountable for the implementation of information security policies and procedures within their areas of responsibility.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Accountability requires that employees be aware of the Department&#8217;s information security policies and procedures.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>All employees that are owners, users, or custodians of a departmental information system shall receive annual information security training.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Security awareness training shall be given as a part of each employee&#8217;s orientation and annually thereafter. Each employee shall receive a copy of the security policy.
