{"id":9622,"date":"2020-03-31T16:06:41","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-12-inmate-pay\/51120-6-pay-schedule\/"},"modified":"2020-03-31T16:06:41","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:41","slug":"51120-6-pay-schedule","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-12-inmate-pay\/51120-6-pay-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"51120.6 Pay Schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The following are approved pay rates, which shall be used for institutions\/facilities:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Support and Inmate Welfare Funds (IWFs) <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Skill Levels and Pay Rates* <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th><\/th><th>Maximum Hourly<\/th><th>Maximum Monthly<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Level 1 DOT 9<br>Lead Person<\/td><td>$0.32 &#8211; $0.37<\/td><td>$48 &#8211; $56<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Level 2 DOT 7-8<br>Special Skill<\/td><td>$0.19 &#8211; 0.32<\/td><td>$29 &#8211; $48<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Level 3 DOT 5-6<br>Technician<\/td><td>$0.15 &#8211; $0.24<\/td><td>$23 &#8211; $36<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Level 4 DOT 3-4<br>Semi-Skill<\/td><td>$0.11 &#8211; $0.18<\/td><td>$17 &#8211; $27<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Level 5 DOT 1-2<br>Laborer<\/td><td>$0.08 &#8211; $0.13<\/td><td>$12 &#8211; $20<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><tfoot><tr><td>*Except as designated below.<\/td><td><\/td><td><\/td><\/tr><\/tfoot><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Monthly rates shall apply to full time employment in job classifications paid from the support budget or Inmate Welfare Funds.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In extraordinary circumstances, the Inmate Pay Committee may designate a wage comparable to the California Prison Industry Authority (CalPIA) inmate pay program for such inmate pay assignments as, but not limited to:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Plant Operations (nonclerical assignments only).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Food service cooks.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Special projects or assignments that require a high degree of skill or expertise.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\t<\/ul>\n\t\n\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Requests to pay inmates at the higher rate shall be directed to the Director, Division of Adult Institutions, or the Director, DAPO, for approval.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Refer to Department Operations Manual (DOM) 51130 for information regarding inmate pay in conservation camps.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Refer to DOM 51121 for information regarding inmate pay in CalPIA.
