{"id":9756,"date":"2020-03-31T16:06:46","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-15-controlled-substances\/52010-22-urine-sample-storage-and-transfer\/"},"modified":"2022-01-06T15:00:22","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T15:00:22","slug":"52010-22-urine-sample-storage-and-transfer","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-15-controlled-substances\/52010-22-urine-sample-storage-and-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"52010.22 Urine Sample Storage and Transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>To ensure that the integrity of the sample is not compromised, the approved chain of evidence must be maintained during processing and storage of the samples.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Each institution and facility must maintain a lock box for the storage\u00a0 of\u00a0 test\u00a0 samples.\u00a0 Only designated staff shall have access to the urinalysis lock box keys.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon completion of the test, the staff member conducting the test shall secure the sample in the urinalysis lock box.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>A urinalysis logbook shall be maintained at each institution, which shall include the inmate\u2019s name, CDCR number, date of test and chain of custody of the sample.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Only designated staff shall remove the samples from the urinalysis lock box and forward the samples to the laboratory for analysis.
