{"id":9757,"date":"2020-03-31T16:06:46","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T23:06:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdcr.test\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-15-controlled-substances\/52010-23-processing-and-documentation-of-tests-results\/"},"modified":"2022-01-06T15:03:11","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T15:03:11","slug":"52010-23-processing-and-documentation-of-tests-results","status":"publish","type":"dom","link":"https:\/\/www.cdcr.ca.gov\/operations-manual\/dom\/chapter-5-adult-custody-and-security-operations\/article-15-controlled-substances\/52010-23-processing-and-documentation-of-tests-results\/","title":{"rendered":"52010.23 Processing and Documentation of Tests Results"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The date that any positive test results are received by the institution or facility shall represent the date of discovery for disciplinary action.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon receipt of the laboratory test results, the results shall be logged in the institution\u2019s urinalysis logbook.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The DTC shall notify and forward a copy of the laboratory results to the program office where the inmate is currently housed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The officer who collected the urine sample shall document the results of the positive test on a Rules Violation Report charging the inmate with a violation of CCR, Title 15, Division 3, Chapter 1, Subchapter 2, Article 2, section 3016, Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia and Distribution.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\n\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Medical Review Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t<ul class=\"cdcr-dom-group-block\">\n\t\t\n\t<li class=\"cdcr-dom-item-block\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Inmates who test positive during the Mandatory Random Urinalysis Program and contend the positive urinalysis test result may have been caused by their prescribed medication(s), may submit a CDCR Form 7385 to pharmacy staff in order to obtain a copy of their MAR at any time. Pharmacy staff shall provide a copy of the MAR to the DTC. The DTC shall contact the contracted laboratory or consult the contracted laboratory\u2019s written guidance to verify whether prescription medications were the cause for the positive test result(s).
