Initial supervision and support are intensive. As the supervised person demonstrates the ability to successfully reintegrate into the community, supervision and support levels may be reduced. Immediately prior to release on parole, a supervised person will be assessed and assigned to one of the following levels of support and supervision:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Intensive Re-entry Supervision and related services<\/strong> &#8211; designed to provide enhanced supervision and support services during the critical transition period from institution to community living.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regular Re-entry Supervision and related services<\/strong> &#8211; designed for those supervised person that require the enhanced services for a shorter period of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Specialized Caseloads <\/strong>&#8211; to provide concentrated, intensive services to supervised person with special needs, e.g., severe substance use disorders, sex offenders, those with mental health problems, those requiring specialized placement and\/or supervised person heavily involved in gang activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Case Management Supervision<\/strong> &#8211; provides evidence-based practices to enhance public safety through long-term positive behavioral change. Supervised persons are transitioned through various supervision categories consistent with their case plan, risk level and demonstrated ability to function in the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electronically Enhanced Supervision<\/strong> &#8211; at any time a supervised person may require\u00a0a highly structured and intense supervision with the use of a 24-hour electronic monitoring device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subsistence and Personal Care Services<\/strong> &#8211; services include but are not limited to out-of-home placement, cash, clothing and transportation assistance, counseling, parenting education and other essential support services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volunteers in Parole (VIP)<\/strong> &#8211; the Parole Services and Community Corrections Branch contracts with the California State Bar Association to provide volunteer attorneys who serve as mentors to supervised persons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The parole system provides specific levels of service to the supervised person based on protection of the community and the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":13,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"hide_featured_image_on_mobile":false,"hide_featured_image_on_post_details":false,"ep_exclude_from_search":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-507","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
