One Stop Testing Event on September 28 & September 29 in Susanville

CDCR is hosting a one stop testing event for interested applicants on Saturday, September 28, 2019 and Sunday, September 29, 2019 in Susanville, California. Attendees will hear an informational presentation on becoming a peace officer, learn about the hiring process, and have an opportunity to speak with High Desert State Prison (HDSP) and California Correctional Center (CCC) recruiters and correctional professionals. Youth Correctional Officer and Youth Correctional Counselor Applications

CDCR will begin accepting Youth Correctional Officer and Counselor applications on Thursday, August 29 through Wednesday, September 18! The Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking applicants to join a dedicated community of professionals who provide security and rehabilitation to youth in its care. For more information, please refer to the examination bulletin.

DJJ is transferring to the California Health and Human Services Agency, beginning July 1, 2020, and will be known as the Department of Youth and Community Restoration (YCR). Candidates currently attending academy, or who attend the February 2020 academy will transfer to YCR under its new agency.
