Access to Institution Affected<\/span>..<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip.
Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the Quick Map app or visit https:\/\/qu<\/u><\/font>ickmap.dot.ca.gov\/ for<\/a> up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more.
If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitation Information<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

54020.8 Visitor Application Procedure<\/mark><\/strong>…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(a) All adult visitors shall be required to obtain the institution\/facility\u2019s approval before being permitted to visit, except as otherwise authorized in this Article. Visitor applicants shall complete and sign a CDCR Form 106, Visiting Questionnaire.In order to retain the status of APPROVED VISITOR, a new CDCR Form 106 shall be submitted whenever there is a change in the visitor\u2019s address, telephone number, or arrest history or periodically upon request.<\/strong> <\/mark>The frequency of any periodic update initiated by the institution\/facility shall be no more than once EVERY TWO YEARS.<\/em><\/mark><\/strong> Additionally, IF A MINOR TURNS 18<\/strong>, he\/she must apply as an adult…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A maximum of five (5) visitors <\/strong>per visit are permitted. The limit of five (5) approved visitors includes children of all ages. NON-CONTACT VISITS<\/span><\/strong> will have a maximum of three (3) visitors<\/strong> per visit…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheduled in-person or walk-in visitors who arrive between the 3:30pm and 5:00pm during Friday visitation periods will not be permitted to check in or enter the institution due to institutional count procedures. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors arriving between 3:30pm and 5:00pm on Fridays may wait in the Friends Outside area located near the entrance of the institutional property. Visitation check-in procedures will resume at 5:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appointments on Friday’s are from 1200pm-215pm and Saturday’s and Sunday’s they are from 845am to 1115am. <\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walk in’s WILL NOT BE<\/span> allowed in the gatehouse 30 minutes prior to the walk in time at 215pm on Friday’s and 1115am on Saturday’s and Sunday’s<\/strong>.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walk-in visitors WILL NOT BE <\/span>processed for visiting if they arrive after 6:00pm on Fridays or after 2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some allowable visitor attire and items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoodies may be worn, however THE HOOD MUST STAY DOWN<\/span> during visiting.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children under 18 years old are required to be accompanied by an adult who is an approved visitor. If the minor child(ren) is accompanied by his\/her parent, the only paperwork necessary is a certified copy of the minor child(ren)\u2019s birth certificate.<\/span><\/strong> If the minor is accompanied by his\/her legal guardian, a certified copy of the minor child(ren)\u2019s birth certificate and proof of legal guardianship is required. If the minor child(ren) is accompanied by someone other than his\/her parent or legal guardian, in addition to the certified copy of the minor child(ren)\u2019s birth certificate, the adult must also bring a<\/span><\/strong> notarized written consent authorization form<\/a><\/strong> signed by the minor child(ren)\u2019s parent or legal guardian expressly giving permission for the minor child(ren) to visit a prisoner.<\/span><\/strong> The written consent authorization form must include the name of the Incarcerated Person, the minor child(ren) is allowed to visit, the name of the person who is authorized to bring the minor child(ren) into the prison, and the date(s) of the proposed visit(s). The notarization must be on the original written consent authorization form and cannot be attached to it. The written consent authorization form to bring in a minor child(ren) must be updated each year.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
