CDCR knows this and provides Magellan Healthcare&#8217;s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EAP is a 24-hour confidential hotline for employees and eligible dependents to help find balance, overcome stress, and help with day-to-day challenges. EAP offers counseling and hosts monthly events, provides webinars, self-assessment tools, community resources and web based care free of charge to employees on the following subject matters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emotional Wellness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workplace Success<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wellness and Balance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marriage, Family and Relationship Issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work-life Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal Financial Consultation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ID Theft Recovery Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health &amp; Wellness programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confidentiality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All records, which contain information pertaining to the identity, diagnosis, or treatment of anyone accessing EAP, are confidential. Disclosures shall occur only under the following circumstance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When authorized by signed consent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When records are subpoenaed by court order and are not otherwise protected by law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the clinician determines that the life or safety of the client or others is seriously threatened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When cases of child or elder abuse are suspected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Records on individuals must&nbsp;be maintained in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, Public Law 93-579.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An eligible dependent is defined as an employee&#8217;s legally married spouse or registered domestic partner and any unmarried children under 26 years of age (effective 7\/1\/2020). Eligible children include natural children, legally adopted children, stepchildren, and children for whom the employee is the legal guardian or who live with the employee in a regular parent\/child relationship and are economically dependent upon the employee. If any unmarried child, who upon attaining age 26 (effective 7\/1\/2020), is incapable of self-support because of physical disability or mental incapacity and is dependent on the eligible employee for support and care, he\/she shall continue to be considered a dependent under this definition, provided that proof of such incapacity is provided to the contractor.
