PANEL TRAINING

Parole Justice Works (PJW) is a nonprofit organization comprised of parole attorneys, educators, advocates, formerly incarcerated individuals, and victims/survivors.  The Board of Parole Hearings (Board) partners with PJW to provide mandated training for the Board’s panel attorneys. The training educates panel attorneys on the law governing the parole hearing process, best practices, and how to provide effective representation to their clients.  PJW will also be producing informational videos about the parole hearing process for the incarcerated population, their families, and the public. In addition, PJW is collaborating with the Board and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Office of Victim and Survivor Rights and Services and other stakeholders to produce informational videos about the parole hearing process for victims and survivors.  If you have questions about PJW or want to learn more about their training sessions, please email PJW directly at admin@parolejustice.org.
