On March 8, 2023, Chuckawalla Valley State Prison announced the passing of retired Correctional Officer Jack Carmody.
He began his career with the department in July 1984 as a Correctional Officer at California Rehabilitation Center.
He transferred to Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in November 1988, where he remained until his retirement in May 2003.
