CTF hosts Defy Ventures Coaching Day

Correctional Training Facility (CTF) hosted Defy Ventures Business Coaching Day for entrepreneurs-in-training (EIT). Defy Ventures put on their well-known Business Coaching Day, bringing together over 50 EITs and 30 volunteer business leaders. The day focused on business ideas, personal growth, shared stories, and forging a brighter future.

The event’s diverse activities all embodied entrepreneurship. EITs investigated the depths of their resumes and told their personal life stories. These efforts went towards discussing the unique customer problems their business ideas aim to tackle.

CTF, Defy create pathways for the future

Business Coaching Day is just one of the pivotal milestones for the EITs. Participants receive the Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the prestigious Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, following program completion.

This achievement is a culmination of the “CEO of Your New Life” program, a comprehensive nine-month journey. Encompassing over 1,600 pages of proprietary curriculum content, the program offers:

  • EITs instructor-led classes
  • peer discussions
  • mentorship
  • coaching
  • and a many events with executive volunteers.

By the end of the program, each participant will have crafted a resume, personal statement, and a business concept plan.

Defy Ventures’ mission goes beyond traditional rehabilitation. With a vision to half recidivism rates, Defy utilizes entrepreneurship as a tool to provide economic opportunity and life transformation. Catering to both currently and formerly incarcerated individuals nationwide, Defy Ventures offers pathways toward employment, entrepreneurship, and successful societal reintegration.
