Budget Management Branch

Budget Management Branch (BMB) provides budgetary and fiscal support for the Department’s multi-billion dollar budget ​by providing allotments to all CDCR divisions, working with field analysts to maintain annual projections on a monthly basis, and working with internal divisions to analyze and amend Budget Change Proposals (BCP) and complete population-based processes. Additionally, BMB works with the Department of Finance (Finance), the Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) and the Legislature to manage budget author​ity through all annual budgetary processes.​​​​
