On May 16, 2019, three Shasta County Community Based Coalition Alumni graduated from the Shasta Community College STEP-UP program.

Matthew Macias, Shannon Kass, and Judy Dungan were part of the first Shasta College STEP-UP Graduation Ceremony.

The Division of Adult Parole Operations, Division of Rehabilitative Programs and the Butte County Office of Education created an agreement with Shasta College to open the door for parolees to attend the STEP-UP Program for the first time during the 2018/2019 academic year.

Parole Agent II Randy Abney from the Northern Region Adult Program Unit played a key role in the success of these three participants in the program.

Collaborative efforts from the organizations allowed these individuals to achieve success and be the first three participants from the coalition to graduate from the STEP-UP Program.
