On Oct. 30, Riverside County Sheriff’s personnel from the Palm Desert Station with the assistance of CDCR Division of Adult Parole Operations and the Ironwood/Chuckawalla Crisis Response Team (CRT) conducted compliance checks of registered sex offenders within the city and unincorporated areas of Palm Desert.

During the operation, 80 sex offenders were contacted by deputies and agents to verify compliance as well as terms and conditions of parole or probation and six were arrested for parole violations. The Sheriff’s Office will be filing charges for six other registrants who were not in compliance.

Ironwood State Prison Warden Neil McDowell and Chuckawalla Valley State Prison Warden David Holbrook were thanked for allowing CRT to participate.
