Elaine Duarte, retired correctional officer, passed away Nov. 23, 2019.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, Duarte reported to California Institution for Women in February 1998.
She retired in September 2015.
Duarte was preceded in death by her father and niece. She is survived by her husband and five children as well as her mother and sister.
Duarte was 50 years old at the time of her passing.
