Parole Agents F. Thor and J. Castro were invited as guest mentors to attend Clovis Unified School District Student Success Conference at Clovis East High School on Dec. 4.

They had the opportunity to speak with up to 600 high school students from the school district.

The primary goal of the Student Success Conference is to inspire students to pursue goals beyond high school and equip them with useful tools to help them along their journey.

Agents Thor and Castro were able to explain their career paths, starting as Correctional Officers to Parole Agents. Also, they were able to explain to students the mission of the Division of Adult Parole Operations and how agents keep the community safe.
