Pelican Bay State Prison reported the recent passing of retired Correctional Officer Anthony Schiavone.
He began his CDCR career in January 1994 at the Basic Correctional Officers Academy at the Correctional Training Center in Galt.
His first assignment as Correctional Officer was at California State Prison, Corcoran in February 1994.
He transferred to Pelican Bay State Prison in December 1994. He retired in April 2014.
