CCHCS staff at CSP-Los Angeles County (LAC) came together to observe National Patient Safety Week, March 8-14. Dental, Nursing, and Mental Health staff visited a different yard each day and provided information to incarcerated patients on various patient safety and health topics.
Further, in order to continue to encourage positive, safe patient care, the Patient Safety Subcommittee held a CSP-LAC Patient Safety Champion contest as well as Patient Safety Advocate contest for each department.
Staff members were encouraged to catch their colleagues practicing patient safety. It was a successful week of promoting patient safety.
