Inside CDCR Video, Prison Health Care

Nurses recognized for dedication, hard work

Nurse professionals are recognized each year from May 6 through May 12, with National Nurses Week ending on Florence Nightingale’s birthday.

During this time, we honor our superheroes in scrubs – those on the front lines keeping our population safe and healthy.

This year especially we want to shout it from the rooftops – we thank you for your dedication and service during unprecedented times.

Nurses recognized by leadership

This video was created to share a message of appreciation from our headquarters and regional nursing leadership to our nearly 7,100 nursing staff working across the state for CDCR, CCHCS and the Division of Juvenile Justice. We appreciate you. You are truly valued. This week and every week, we thank you.

“As a nurse, we have the opportunity to heal the heart, mind, soul and body of our patients, their families and ourselves. They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
