Chuckawalla Valley State Prison reported the recent passing of Correctional Officer Ruben Diaz.
He began his CDCR career at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy.
After his graduation, he reported to the California Correctional Institution in July 2014.
In June 2019, he transferred to Chuckawalla Valley State Prison.
