As fires devastate communities, some CDCDR/CCHCS employees and their non-profit organizations came together Sept. 10 to assist those impacted by the Creek Fire.

The facilities and organizations involved include The California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (CSATF/SP) Employee Activity Committee; CSP-Corcoran; CCPOA Chapters from CSATF/SP, CSP-Corcoran and Avenal State Prison; as well as CCSO Chapter from CSP-Corcoran.

They gathered bottled water, food and toiletries totaling $2,500 for evacuees and firefighters battling the Creek Fire in Fresno County.

“With California in crisis, staff recognized the need to assist and once again joined forces to help our valiant firefighters fighting on the front lines.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted and hope our small contribution will provide some relief,” event organizers said.
