To help those affected by the state’s devastating wildfires, the incarcerated population and staff at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF) and State Prison at Corcoran worked together to raise funds.

On Oct. 9, the SATF took the initiative to present a check for $8,233.85 to the Fresno Chapter of the American Red Cross. Donations made to nonprofit groups from food sale fundraisers are selected by the Inmate Activity Groups involved.

“SATF is very proud to work collaboratively with inmate groups to give back to the community, especially during these trying times. While SATF remains dedicated to the safety, health, and well-being of both the staff and inmate population, we take every opportunity to help those in need,” said SATF organizers.
