ASP crafts hats, scarves for those in need

Thanks to the efforts of those incarcerated on Facility E at Avenal State Prison (ASP), others in need were provided warm hats and scarves.

Knowing cold weather was rapidly approaching, four incarcerated people turned a hobby into help. Faafeta Lulu, Tex Rhoads, Richard Piatt, and Oscar Zuniga knitted and crocheted 28 sets of matching hats and scarves in less than a month.

Supplies were donated through Community Resource Manager Dee Lovette’s office.

All the ASP-crafted hats and scarves were donated to the Fresno Rescue Mission just in time for winter.
