With community fundraising activities hindered by the pandemic, leaders at Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) took the initiative, raising over $4,000 for charity.

Thanks to an incarcerated population food sale, Substance Abuse Treatment Facility staff donated $4,021.99 to charity — the Corcoran Kiwanis Club.

The incarcerated population selects the recipients for food sale donations.

“We are very fortunate to be part of such a generous community,” said Warden (A) Theresa Cisneros. “We felt this donation would be very helpful to those in need, especially during these trying times.”

Kiwanis Club President Laura Duran expressed gratitude for the donation.

“This donation will go directly to Corcoran residents who are in need,” she said.
