The local community and institution leadership banded together to show their appreciation for staff at RJ Donovan (RJD) Correctional Facility.
Employees were provided meals during all three shifts and were provided t-shirts. The community and stakeholders also turned out to show their appreciation for RJD employees.
Supporters included Use Credit Union, Mt. Tamalpais College, The Rock Church and Eastlake Church.
The RJD staff came together to acknowledge everyone’s contributions to fulfilling CDCR’s mission of enhancing public safety and facilitating successful community reintegration of the incarcerated.
Warden Marcus Pollard and Chief Deputy Warden Raquel Buckel wanted to find a creative way to acknowledge their team’s ability to adapt and overcome challenges. Working in corrections requires a great deal of courage, patience and dedication. From these values came the idea and design for the first Team RJD T-shirt. The design on the shirt represents the team’s strength.
Food was provided for the May 5th event by Big Boyz Tacos, John Que’s Smokeout, and Richeeze.
