Valley State Prison fundraisers benefits Madera community

Valley Prison held fundraisers to benefit Madera community, presenting a check to organizations.

Valley State Prison (VSP) staff and the incarcerated population held fundraisers to benefit the Madera community.

Through food sale fundraisers, three charitable Madera organizations received checks from Valley State Prison.

VSP’s Inmate Leisure Time Activities Groups raised $3,500 for the Community Action Partnership of Madera County represented by Jennifer Coronado, Victim Services Program Manager and Beatrix Salazar. Warden R. Fisher presented the organization with the check.

A second check for $5,000 was presented to the Madera Unified School District School Culture & Climate Department again that was raised by VSP’s Inmate Leisure Time Activities Groups from a food sale fundraiser.

A third check was presented to the OLIVE Charitable Organization who partners with the Madera Police Department to provide local human trafficking and victim services. The $4,000 check came from a food sale fundraiser by VSP’s Inmate Leisure Time Activities Group.
