Kings County families get holiday help from SATF

Families in need received help with holiday meals thanks to the efforts of the incarcerated population and staff at Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF).

October food sales generated $1,155. The incarcerated population chose to use those funds to help Operation Gobble.

The program of the Corcoran Emergency Aid provides Thanksgiving meals to residents in the Kings County area.

Kings County District 2 Supervisor Richard Valle congratulated Theresa Cisneros for being named warden. She was honored by handing out the first turkey of the day.

Warden Cisneros thanked everyone for attending and for the generous donations from all those involved.

Several SATF staff members were also present to help hand out holiday meals to area residents.
