California Correctional Center (CCC) staff and the incarcerated population raised over $27,000 for charity groups during 2021.
In November, the CCC raised $5,000 to go to charity benefiting victims of the Dixie Fire.
The fire devastated several counties in Northern California, with Lassen County being one of them. The fire burned almost 1,000,000 acres. Many families, including their their animals, were displaced. The fire also destroyed the small community of Greenville.
Part of the 2021 donations also went to Lassen Family Services, Lassen Senior Services, Holiday with a Hero, and Lassen Humane Society, as well as others.
