CSP-Solano reported the death of 30-year CDCR employee Rudy Barragan Sr. who passed away Feb. 4, 2022.
Barragan began his CDCR career in January 1991 as a Carpenter I at Deuel Vocational Institution, eventually promoting to Carpenter II. In January 2002, he went to work at CSP-Solano as Utility Shops Supervisor.
In March 2007, he promoted to CDCR Headquarters as Supervisor of Building Trades. Barragan returned to Solano in July 2015, where he remained as a Supervisor of Building Trades.
“Rudy Barragan was an integral part of our CSP–Solano family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Please continue to keep the Barragan family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” according to a statement issued by Solano leadership.
