CDCR Sergeant Anita Sawma discusses career options with students at Sierra College in Rocklin.

Richard A McGee Correctional Training Center staff attended the Sierra College Public Safety Career Fair on April 22.

Training center Administrator Jon Spaich, Sergeant Anita Sawma, and AGPA Lisa Hamrick were on hand to greet college students and the public at the career fair.

The team was busy answering questions regarding how to start a career with CDCR, and recruitment efforts were not just focused on correctional officers but also non-custody positions as well.

Founded in 1936, Sierra College serves more than 18,000 students each year at campuses and centers in Rocklin, Roseville, Grass Valley, and Truckee.

CDCR continues to hire Correctional Officers for positions statewide. Interested applicants can apply online. To learn more about the correctional officer selection process, watch this video.
