
Frank Nunez, a retired correctional officer, passed away June 9, 2022.
He began his career at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy January 1, 1990.
After graduating, he reported to California State Prison, Corcoran, in February of that year.
In August 1997, he transferred to the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, where he remained until retiring in April 2016.
Viewing is June 22 from 1 to 5 pm at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home in Tulare.
Services will be June 23 at 11 am at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church in Tulare.
His family has requested all Correctional Officers attending wear their Class A Uniforms in the memory of Frank Nunez.
“Please join us in expressing our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
