CDCR hosted a unique hiring event at Correctional Training Facility (CTF), giving correctional officer candidates a jumpstart on their careers.
Hosted at the Correctional Training Facility’s recently deactivated Facility D, job-seekers were able to go through most of the correctional officer application process.
During the June 25 event, 72 potential correctional officer candidates were able to complete the written exam, physical fitness test, live scan, and begin the background investigation process all in one day. Through the Jumpstart Hiring Event, participants were able to reduce the timeline to hire by approximately 90 days.
